Biking in British Columbia
The Sun Peaks Bike Park has been around for about 25 years. Its trails stretch from Tod Mountain to Sundance Mountain through to Mt. Morrisey, and with gentle beginner trails and adrenaline-filled pro trails, it promises biking fun for all skill levels.
Where biking in Canada is the most beautiful
Two chairlifts, more than 84 km of trails, and 595 m of lift-assisted vertical metres await you in the Sun Peaks Bike Park. If that’s not enough, you can pedal up the Altitude Trail and put another 155 m (500 ft) of technically challenging downhill trail behind you. From flowing machine trails and exhilarating downhill single tracks, to the Progression Park accessible via carpet lift – pure adrenaline awaits you here.
The ideal bike skills zone in Sun Peaks
The Sun Peaks Progression Park is the perfect bike skills zone for beginners and young riders to practise the basics of mountain biking in peace. Accessible using the carpet lifts, small berms, technical sections, a jump line, drops, a pump track, and more await you. You can improve your riding skills step by step in a safe environment – ideal for gaining confidence and learning new tricks.
Biking at Sun Peaks Resort
In addition to the popular bike park, Sun Peaks offers mountain bikers a growing network of lift-supported and free pedal trails. Lift-access tours such as “Altitude” (16 km loop) and “Big Rock Ride” require a lift pass and offer flowing and technical descents. Outside the park, the free Mt. Morrisey/Valley network offers several single tracks for all skill levels. Season: June to October.
You are welcome to store your bike in our bicycle cellar, but please note that you will need your own bicycle lock.
